Overview

We seek a Director of Product Marketing to drive their product line's go-to-market plans, programs, and deliverables, including product launch and branding, defining target personas and ideal customer profile, value proposition, competitive positioning, and content. symplr's product line includes supplier and visitor credentialing, access management, contract management and spend management including advanced value analysis tools all ensuring supply chain leaders better control their costs. Your objectives include positioning symplr as a leader in the emerging healthcare operations market, while increasing market share through driving up competitive win rates.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of supporting enterprise healthcare software or services. You will have worked with customer facing teams to enable them to speak to our product vision and value, incorporating the voice of the customer into all that your team does. You know how to position a portfolio of solutions, differentiate with insights from the market and competitive intelligence, and are well-versed in Enterprise-class SaaS sales models. You are a strong collaborator and partner for multiple go-to-market teams (sales, customer success, growth and brand marketing) and know how to influence and drive priorities across leadership teams.

In this role, you'll be the right-hand partner of the Managing Director who oversees the overall business strategy, roadmap, and key initiatives, serving on that leader's cabinet of trusted functional leaders. You'll be the marketing team's representative to that business, helping to prioritize and execute on go-to-market strategies.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead and coach a high performing Product Marketing team
  • Collaborate across the organization - key partner to Product Management, Growth and Brand Marketing, as well as our Sales & Customer Success teams.
  • Define and support our overall portfolio brand and product positioning, End of Life, and new product introduction marketing plans, as well as messaging, value proposition, ROI tools, and sales enablement.
  • Segment customers and prospects that helps shape your marketing message and define our ideal customer profile.
  • Partner with our Growth Marketing peers, incorporating market insights, persona challenges and content, so Growth can execute on digital and related campaigns that support our key go-to-market motions.
  • Work cross-functionally to determine the best GTM strategy, set proper timelines, priorities, and KPIs, and coordinate launches.
  • Working with the Director of Market Intelligence, partner on our analyst relations strategy
  • Develop and manage content and related resources to position, sell, and renew our solutions, in close partnership with our Sales, Customer Success, and Enablement teams.
Skills Required
  • Enterprise healthcare product or service marketing to provider organizations, payers, and/or medical equipment and device suppliers
  • Experience marketing to healthcare customer segments; Have a deep understanding of buyers, influencers, and decision makers.
  • Understand portfolio marketing, with experience creating messaging and GTM strategies for multiple products, market segments and personas.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders, drive alignment across functions, and manage a high-performance team
  • Experience working with growth marketing, customer-facing leadership, and executive leadership.
  • Business-focused, with working knowledge of product and portfolio bookings goals, as well as pipeline coverage, win rates, and instincts on how to address pipeline shortfalls, in collaboration with Growth Marketing
  • Strong communicator and presenter.
  • Takes initiative, leads by example and achieves consistent results.
  • Experience in mentoring and coaching employees and developing top talent into proven performers.
  • Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Sense of humor, collaborative, concern for colleagues
Qualifications Required:

  • MBA is strongly preferred; Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related field. Strong in analytics and data-driven decision-making
  • 5+ years of Enterprise-class B2B and B2B2C SaaS marketing experience - driving product marketing strategies that include messaging, enablement, packaging, market insights, and product launches.
  • 5+ years of team management experience, with an ability to pivot between strategy, team brainstorming, and hands on execution
  • Pragmatic Marketing or related certification preferred
  • Healthcare marketing experience strongly preferred
