At AstraZeneca we turn ideas into life changing medicines. Working here means being entrepreneurial, thinking big and working together to make the impossible a reality. We're focused on the potential of science to address the unmet needs of patients around the world. We commit to those areas where we can really change the course of medicine and bring new and innovative ideas to life.
As Director of US Breast Cancer Strategy and Alignment, you'll play a pivotal role in channeling our scientific capabilities to make a positive impact on changing patients' lives.
This position is based ON SITE at our Gaithersburg, MD campus, headquarters for the US Oncology and the Oncology Business Unit. The Gaithersburg site offers various amenities to help boost efficiency and help keep our employees happy and healthy. This includes a fitness center, employee healthcare clinic, electric vehicle charging stations, dry cleaning, a full-service cafeteria, state-of-the-art on-campus Daycare facility, and copy center. This is where you'll find newly-designed, activity-based workspaces to suit a variety of working styles while strengthening collaboration between teams.
As the Director of US Breast Cancer Strategy and Alignment, you will play a key role in defining our commercial leadership opportunity in Breast Cancer through the development of an "above brand" vision and strategy. You will lead the development of a short and medium-term US breast cancer strategy, developed in partnership with the global and medical teams. This strategy will encompass potential synergies across assets as well as broad, disease-state opportunities that will support AstraZeneca's leadership in breast cancer beyond the assets in our portfolio. In addition, you will work closely with the Insights & Analytics team to develop a single view of the evolving breast cancer landscape and perspective on the role of AZ's breast cancer assets within that landscape.
You will also partner closely with the US marketing leaders across breast cancer assets to ensure alignment from a strategic and execution perspective, both across headquarters and customer-facing teams. This will initially focus on the products currently promoted by the US breast cancer team and will expand to include future assets as an additional data readouts approach. You will report directly to the US Breast Cancer franchise head and serve as a key member of the franchise leadership team.
