Location: Riverside, CA
Salary: $180,000.00 USD Annually - $225,000.00 USD Annually
Description: Our client is currently seeking a Department Head of Meat Production
On site in Riverside, CA
Direct Hire

This job will have the following responsibilities:

• General Responsibilities: Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, ensuring associate satisfaction and motivation.
• Lead, train, and develop a high-performing team of processing associates.
• Promote safety and quality standards to ensure a secure and efficient work environment.
• Oversee all aspects of beef further processing operations, from receiving raw materials to final product packaging.
• Implement and optimize production processes to meet quality, quantity, and timeline goals, while respecting corporate culture and values.
• Monitor production metrics and make data-driven decisions for continuous improvement.
• Oversight of beef raw material procurement and vendor relationships.
• Responsibility for ensuring that specifications are consistently reviewed and performance audited.
• Partner with internal resources to develop and manage the budget for the beef further processing operations in multiple locations.
• Control costs, reduce waste, and maximize operational efficiency.
• Continuously identify opportunities to increase product quality.
• Oversight in ensuring that the Maintenance operations team is functioning effectively within a high redundancy and uptime environment.
• Assist in implementing data driven preventative maintenance procedures to extend the life of machinery.
  

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Agri-Business or related field
• (Required) 10+ years of experience in large beef slaughter or further processing operations
• (Required) 5+ years of experience leading others, ideally large teams
• Excellent knowledge of meat industry and USDA regulations, and safety standards
• Proven leadership of team management skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• CA driver's license in good standing
