We are currently looking for a Release Engineer to join our Denver, CO based team. As Release Engineer you will play an integral role in supporting our continued growth and success.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN
• Track the scope of sprint-based software deployments across multiple geographical locations
• Communicate upcoming release windows and assist tech and product teams in planning releases
• Be accountable for the quality of releases through deployment planning to ensure component versions, their dependencies, and deployment steps are accurately captured
• Empower the team to adhere to well defined change management and release processes
• Communicate with the following stakeholders to ensure release scopes, timelines, and progress are accurately understood by all senior management, IT development stream leads, QA, Product managers, DevOps and Site Reliability Engineers
• Co-ordinate resources for performing deployments during planned release windows
• Assist in the construction and execution of run sheets for large complex releases
• Track components that have been released and be responsible for ensuring the same component don’t move out of sync
• Create and maintain technical dependency matrix for microservices components to help plan out order of deployments
• Implement processes and tools which improve release quality and efficiency
• Automate tracking and reporting using the latest tools available on the market
• Understanding and adhering to release notes communication process mandated by US regulators
• Assist in the compilation of release notes for submission to regulators

SKILLS WE SEEK
• 3+ years’ experience in sprint planning, change management, or release planning.
• 3+ years’ experience working with work tracking tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps boards)
• Proven experience with overseeing or executing production deployments across a variety of application setups
• Hands on experience with configuration management and CI/CD tools and software engineering practices
• Experience with source control systems such as git and best practices in branching strategies to support reliable continuous delivery
• Change management experience
• Production support experience highly regarded
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure highly regarded
• Experience with deploying micro services highly regarded

In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role in Colorado is $100,000 - $130,000 (salary ranges in other locations could differ). This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
