MCA, your trusted advisor for wireless communications, data, and security, is seeking an experienced Security System Design Specialist in the Austin, TX area to support our fast-growing Security division. WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Support Sales team customer engagement with an on-site evaluation, addressing technical questions, and providing a detailed scope of work and proposal from Knight Security Systems that is comprehensive and competitive.
• Provide recommendation to the sales team as far as the optimal equipment and technologies required for each project.
• Compile and enter project estimates in Knight Security System’s CRM software.
• Provide pricing to the Sales team based on the customer wishes or needs so that a complete Scope of Work can be compiled by the Knight Security Systems salesperson
• Assist the sales process with hands on demonstrations, product examples, and examples of completed portfolio systems and pictures.
• Re-evaluate sold projects prior to installation to ensure that the equipment and services sold are being procured from the most economical source.
• Oversee submittal process to design firms and or municipalities/agencies involved in obtaining permits and approvals for booked projects.
• Conduct meeting with the Sales Representative and customer and present the project approved by the local Operations Manager.
• Create AutoCAD drawings of projects during the sales process.

• Creation of Asset sheets for installed materials.
• Provide technical leadership and assistance all other departments in resolving customer issues.
• Other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or at least 5 years of related technical design experience or a commensurate combination of education and experience.

• Must possess or be able to pass a state required background test and hold a Texas Security License.

• Must possess a professional personal appearance with strong verbal and written communication skills
• Pass mandatory drug tests.
