Job Functions, Duties, Responsibilities and Position Qualifications:

Dermatopathologist

DermDX® New England is a full-service dermatopathology practice. Our mission is to provide consistent, rapid, and expert interpretation of skin biopsies to our referring physicians, and to ensure that their patients benefit from treatment that is based on accurate and highly reliable diagnostic information. Our team of experienced and highly qualified professional staff strives to provide exceptional services that address the unique needs of every clinician.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver accurate diagnoses of specimens, from both glass slide and digital formats.
  • Provide microscopic dictations, and, at times, gross evaluations when appropriate.
  • Be available for physicians and staff to discuss specimen handling, diagnosis, and management, as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of management, co-workers, and clients to provide quality medical care and customer service.
  • Participate as faculty in our educational programs with residents and fellows.
  • Participate in Tumor Board, Grand Rounds, and professional society meetings when called upon.
  • Help with research projects.
  • Participate in other division or company-wide activities (sales/service calls, trade shows, and social media) to promote our services, as needed.

Experience:
  • Doctor of Medicine (M.D./D.O.) with completion of residency training (either dermatology or pathology)
  • Board Certified in Anatomic Pathology and/or Dermatology.
  • A minimum of 1-4 years' experience including fellowship training.
  • Dermatopathology fellowship training required with Board Certification/Eligibility
  • Excellent communication skills are a priority.
