The Dedman College of Hospitality at Florida State University invites applications for a nine-month, full-time Teaching Faculty I position in Recreation and Tourism.

Responsibilities

Develop and instruct undergraduate courses in parks, recreation, and leisure studies. Expertise in one or more of the following areas is desired: recreation program and facilities management, outdoor activity leadership, leisure experiences management. Provide service to the campus, community, and industry. Support ongoing program growth and development, and assist undergraduate students with industry networking and professional development.

Qualifications

Earned Doctorate or Master's degree in Recreation, Hospitality, and/or Tourism Management or a related field from an accredited university, or equivalent qualifications based on professional experience and otherwise qualified to perform assigned duties.

Preferred Qualifications

• Traditional and online teaching experience in parks, recreation, or leisure studies.
• Prior industry management experience.
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
• Successful classroom teaching performance.
