Description

SAIC is seeking an experienced Systems Engineering Project Leader to join our energized Engineering Innovation Factory Team of solution architects and digital engineers to define and build the infrastructure that fuels the Digital Engineering Transformation across our entire industry. Our work creating digital ecosystems span an exciting variety of programs, customers and corporate initiatives requiring Digital Engineering and Model Based Engineering applications and infrastructure deployed in Defense, Federal Civilian, and/or National Security environments. This job can be performed anywhere within the U.S.

In this position, as the Digital Engineering (DE) Ecosystems Offering Manager, you will be responsible for managing the development, deployment and marketing of our DE Ecosystems Offering.  As offering manager, you will manage a team of DE Ecosystem engineers to ensure projects are appropriately staffed and executing to budget. These projects include architecting and deploying new Digital Engineering infrastructures for our internal and external customers to include both cloud-based and on-prem solutions across multiple security domains. The chosen candidate will also drive marketing development for our DE Ecosystem offerings. This role will require exceptional organization skills, communication skills (both up and down the enterprise) and collaboration skills. 

As part of our Engineering Innovation Factory Team, you will engage with other digital engineering subject matter experts and Offering Managers, and business and customer leads, to foster broader understanding of our Digital Engineering infrastructure and ecosystems to assist them in developing digital work products. You will also be required to engage with the larger community (Industry, Government, and Academia) to stay up to date with latest trends and emerging technologies, approaches, methods, and techniques to further mature and or increase our digital engineering capabilities, and to mentor others on our solutions and standards.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • U.S. Citizenship is required

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or science related field and 12 years or project management experience. 

  • Lead technology scouting, develop and own the tech road map and business case efforts for DE Ecosystems.

  • Develop, Manage and Status the yearly investment budget to implement the DE Ecosystems technology roadmap including labor, training, SW, HW and travel costs

  • Manage a team of Digital Engineers to develop and maintain, and provide project management of the DE Ecosystem Offering as the product owner, owning the overall architecture, feature backlog and prioritization with allocated budgets. The DE Ecosystem consists of integration of best in class software tools and processes.

  • Support company strategic objectives by developing and sustaining differentiated offerings that drive profitable growth across the SAIC portfolio.

  • Lead overall DE Ecosystem strategy and marketing efforts in collaboration with customer facing organization (Sectors, accounts, and program).

  • Support bid and proposal (B&P) capture efforts by leading development of tailored demonstrations of DE Ecosystem capabilities tied to specific customer requirements and objectives

  • Support proposal efforts through creation and updates to the DE Ecosystem "playbook", describing key DE Ecosystem processes, key graphics, and detailing features, benefits, and proof points

  • Support new program adoption of our DE Ecosystems through stand-up, training, and hyper-care.

  • Lead user support efforts, user group meetings, and collection of needs for DE Ecosystems

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to independently manage a technical team of 5-10 people in a rapidly changing, fast-paced environment

  • Strong written, communication, and presentation skills

Desired Experience:

  • Experience with Agile Scrum methodology including the role of product owner or scrum master

  • Experience or familiarity with Scaled Agile Framework Environment (SAFe)

  • Experience architecting, administering, deploying and maintaining enterprise Digital Engineering tools such as IBM’s Jazz suite (DNG, RQM, RMM, RTC), Cameo EA, Product Lifecycle Management tools such as Aras Innovator, PTC, TeamCenter, Dassault’s 3Dx Platform)

  • Experience supporting US Federal Government agencies and processes

  • Capable of obtaining a TS/SCI clearance

Target salary range: $150,001 - $175,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
