Position: Data Scientist
Job Location: 10500 NE 8th Street (13th floor), Bellevue, WA 98004
Duties: Provide recommendations to business stakeholders to solve complex business issues. Develops business cases for projects with a projected return on investment or cost savings. Translate business requirements into projects, activities, and tasks and align them to the overall business strategy. Serve as an interpreter and conduit to connect business needs with tangible solutions and results. Recommend new processes and ways of working. Identify the model evaluation metrics. Apply best practice techniques for model testing and tuning to assess accuracy, fit, validity, and robustness for multi-stage models and model ensembles. Develop newer techniques (for example, advance computer vision, deep learning algorithms, and auto ML) by leveraging the latest trends in machine learning and artificial intelligence to train algorithms to apply models to new data sets. Guide the team on feature engineering, experimentation, and advanced modeling techniques to be used for complex problems with unstructured and multiple data sets (for example, streaming data and raw text data). Deploy models to production. Continuously log and track model behavior once it is deployed against the defined metrics. Identify model parameters which may need modifications depending on the scale of deployment. Write code to develop the required solution and application features by determining the appropriate programming language and leveraging business, technical, and data requirements. Create test cases to review and validate the proposed solution design. Create proofs of concept. Test the code using the appropriate testing approach. Deploy software to production servers. Contribute to code documentation, maintain playbooks, and provide timely progress updates.
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or equivalent in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field; OR Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 2 years of experience in an analytics or related field.
Skills required: Experience with Python coding. Experience with Cloud Services including data storing and virtual machines. Experience with Database Management using queries. Experience with Machine Learning and Deep Learning including trained models for object detection. Experience with complex image or video analytic pipelines. Experience with Data Extraction-Transformation-Loading (ETL). Experience with Docker. Experience deploying CV, ML, and AI models and components to simulation, verification, and production environments. Experience with one of the following deep learning frameworks: Tensorflow, Keras, or Pytorch. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.
Salary Range: $110,864/year to $216,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
