As a Data Analyst Intern, you will gain insight into the Western Union, understanding our services to push our technology forward with respect to performance, and scalability. You will get the opportunity to work on a variety of projects across the business, with a focus on supporting our Data Engineering Team. This is a rare opportunity for someone with no previous Tech experience to get their first look-in to the corporate world.

Here is a sample of the type of work you will do during your internship:

• Designing, developing, testing, implementing, and maintaining analytic solutions.
• Creating visually appealing dashboards that intuitively present information.
• Meeting with internal customers to develop project scope for analytic and research requests.
• Supporting existing analytic solutions.
• Working with end-users on self-service analytics including direct line support and training.

While you may not have professional work experience, we are looking for you to bring the following general skills to the table:

• Excellent written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced, global environment.

• Data skills: Excited to work with large, complex data structures.
• Ideally pursuing a degree in BA, BS, or MS in Computer Science or related discipline.
• Python Programming: some experience or equivalent academic background in data processing using Python is preferred.
• You love working with heterogeneous data to answer real human questions, and you want to learn how to write the code that makes that happen.
