We are seeking a VP, Cyber Alternative Capital Broker to join our Cyber COE in New York.

What to expect:

• You will focus on advancing the use of alternative capital in the cyber market.
• Within MMC, you will sit in GC's Cyber practice and closely liaise with GC Securities (a leading investment advisor and broker-deal in the re/insurance sector) colleagues globally.
• The role will engage alternative capital providers on the structural design, modeling and transactional viability of cyber deals in order to garner support for these transactions.
• You will also interface with cedents to ensure the scope of the risk transfer adequately addresses the client's needs.
• You will lead this initiative for North America and engage with cyber stakeholders and alternative capital providers globally.

We will count on you to:

• Collaborate closely with Cyber practice colleagues (broking team and analytics) to remain current on capacity needs, short vs. long term client growth strategies and cyber modeling.
• Maintain relationships and regular communication with clients and markets, including the communication of Guy Carpenter intellectual property (peer studies, market reports).
• Negotiate and execute clients' placements.
• Building of market materials for reinsurance placements (submission, marketing and presentations).
• Use financial modeling to assess the viability and returns of transactions
• Assess target performance, both in a standalone and comparative basis
• Present financial analysis to clients, typically the CEO/CFO or Ceded Re teams
• Assist in the presentation of financial and commercial information for both buy-side and sell-side
• As required, work with GC Securities colleagues on other cyber-centric ILS transactions, which could include catastrophe bonds, collateralized reinsurance, sidecars, ILW derivatives, and other related projects

What you need to have:

• Bachelor's Degree
• 5 -7 years experience working for a reputable (re)insurance or securities/banking firm and a good understanding of the non-life (re)insurance sector
• Banking deal flow experience
• Strong financial and analytical skills, including experience with accounting and financial modelling, with an ability to interpret, organize and effectively communicate complex financial data
• Exceptional communication skills and ability to interact with both clients and colleagues within a fast-moving professional team environment

The applicable base salary range for this role is $120,000 to $215,000.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
