Summary
The Operations Manager for Ryder's Last Mile division must be able to provide leadership and business management to the site. An ideal candidate should be able to train and develop associates with a focus on productivity, safety and customer service. You will be responsible for fostering growth of talent by coaching, developing and recognizing your Associates. The Operations Manager is also responsible for managing customer's expectations on both ends of the operation.
The preferred candidate will have the following:
-Experience dealing with major retail customers and meeting distribution needs
-Oversee customer expectations and ensure seamless delivery to final destination
-Train and coach drivers on being customer centric and providing top tier service
Requirements:
-Experience with direct management of warehouse associates and contracted drivers
-Experience planning staff and using workforce management tool
-KPI monitoring and process improvement (Lean training a plus)
-Basic understanding of Profit-Loss Statements and cost savings
-Safety training and implementation
