Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is searching for a Crane Operator with crane experience on a deepwater floating facility for a future opportunity.

Work schedule of 14x14 with a work terminal out of south LA.

Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood is required.

• Operating experience on a deepwater floating facility.
• Prepare the crane for operation by carrying out visual inspections as laid down in the crane operating procedures.
• Ensure that the area of operation is free from obstructions
• Operate the crane with-in the operating parameters
• Communicate clearly with Banksmen, Riggers, Boat crews etc.
• Conducts/participate in risk assessments for routine and non-routine lifting activities
• Conduct routine equipment checks and/or maintenance on plant and equipment under area of responsibility within sphere of competence
• As required work with Rigging personnel

Skills / Qualifications

Required: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 3-5 years of crane operating experience on a deepwater floating platform.

Preferred: Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; 5+ years offshore crane operating experience on a deepwater floating production platform preferred; large Seatrax crane operating experience preferred; Level/Stage 3 crane certification preferred.
