Hendrickson is searching for a Cost Accounting/Finance Manager to join their team in Woodridge, IL.

This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing divisional accounting procedures and controls and directing the activities of the operational accounting staff toward the achievement of division objectives, supporting all functional areas with professionally produced information, in a timely manner, consistent with the highest standards of the profession.

• Oversee Plant Accountants cost analysis activities for the Truck Division.
• Develop, implement and maintain accounting policies and procedures for the Division as the need is anticipated or arises. Audit compliance to established procedures for internal control.
• Prepare periodic financial reports and analyses on both a routine and special request basis, meeting established deadlines. e.g. Results of Operations, Forecast of Operations, Division Staff Financial Package.
• Develop and set annual raw material, labor and overhead cost standards along with maintaining these throughout the year.
• Complete analysis of variance from standard.
• Completion of all Corporate reporting requirements, i.e., payroll, pension, all insurance, tax info, quarterly data, etc.
• Support new & current product teams as the financial representative, developing cost models, make vs buy analysis, capital expenditure requests, etc.
• Conduct capital expenditure justification reviews.
• Miscellaneous duties including coordination of annual audits by internal & external auditors, coordination with IT to maintain or upgrade the QAD system; maintain internal control procedures; participation in annual business planning process; ongoing coordination with Corporate and Staff; development and training of subordinates.
• Perform periodic inventory reevaluations.
• Continuous improvement.
• Other duties as assigned.

The successful candidate will possess:

• Bachelor's Degree required. Master's degree and/or CPA preferred.
• 9 years of varied accounting experience.
• Costing and analysis experience.
• Experience in supervision with strong leadership skills.
• Experience in general accounting operations.
• Solid PC skills.
• High standard of integrity.
• Ability to work with all levels of an organization.
• High energy level and strong self-motivation.
