Core Java Developer

BCforward is currently seeking highly motivated Core Java Developer for a Hybrid opportunity in Chicago, IL!

Position Title: Core Java Developer
Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid remote 3 days onsite and 2 days work from home)
Expected Duration (possible extension): 6 Months (Contract to hire)

Roles and Responsibilities:

• BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
• Expertise in application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines
• Advanced knowledge of architecture and design across all systems
• Proficiency in multiple modern programming languages
• Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices
• Keen understanding of financial control and budget management
• Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals
• Passionate about building an innovative culture
• Minimum 7+ years of current hands-on development and programming experience
• Hands-on programming/application development experience utilizing Java, Spring Boot, REST, Micro Services, Cloud Native, DevOps and Test Driven Devel

Required Skills:

• Writing basic queries
• Building UI exp
• Strong business domain understanding when it comes to business design
• Hands on java coding exp
• Well-rounded in design
• React JS (A plus)
• Cockroach database (A plus) This can be trained
• Cloud exp (A plus)
• Agile environment exp (A plus)
• J2EE (A plus)
