Description of Position

Hiring Range: $46,438 to $59,227

Manages the overall activities of the Community Education, including but not limited to Adult
Noncredit Courses, College for Kids, the Sedona Summer Wellness Series, and Professional
Development Programs. Develops and markets programs including field and classroom
curricula recruit and evaluate instructors, and provides excellent customer service.
With support from DLL Administrative Assistant, manages the financial aspects (and
contracts) of the program and course building and registration. Demonstrates strong verbal
and written communications skills. Supervises up to 60 part-time employees which include
instructors, trip coordinators, drivers, and student employees.

The primary location is the VVC but he/she will also work at the Sedona Center, as needed.

Minimum Expectations & Requirements

Bachelors degree
- Minimum of two years experience in developing non-credit educational programs and
services (using data-driven decision making)
- Ability to manage the overall financial aspects of a market-driven educational program
(including marketing, accounting, pricing, creating and interpreting monthly reports to track
program success)
- Ability to manage people
- Demonstrated customer service skills
- Exercise independent judgment with regards to supervision of instructors and contracts for
program-related items
- Computer skills which include some web design/HTML, social media marketing, and
experience with web-based sales, and graphic design skills
- Regular attendance is an essential job function as it demonstrates dependability towards the
performance of job duties

Preferred Skills & Abilities

- Excellent computer skills such as advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Suite (and other examples of computer proficiency)
- Ability to work in a dynamic office setting
- Some travel and/or event planning experience
- Masters level degree
- Professional experience in a community college/higher education work environment.
