About the Position:

This role is an on-campus, in-person position.

The Coordinator 1 provides general office and administrative support, such as class scheduling and room assignments for fall, spring, and summer.

The position assists with processing new majors and graduation, as well as updating students' DPRs as directed.

The person in this role will assist advising staff as needed.

Essential Functions:

  • Work with department chairs and faculty to schedule classes and assign rooms: fall, spring, summer.
  • Processing new majors and graduation
  • Update students' DPRs as directed.
  • Assist director and academic advising staff as needed

  • Other duties as required.


Qualifications

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor's degree is preferred.

A minimum of two years' of full-time work experience providing clerical, administrative or customer service support in an office environment is required. Experience in a university setting is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Candidate must demonstrate strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate broadly across the University and develop and maintain effective relationships with a wide range of constituencies. Must also demonstrate strong written communication skills. A strong customer service orientation is essential

Candidate must possess strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and analyze problems, as well as devise solutions. Must also have strong organizational, planning and time management skills with the ability to simultaneously manage multiple tasks. A strong attention on focus to detail is essential.

Candidate must demonstrate a strong working knowledge of MS Office. Experience with or knowledge of PeopleSoft is preferred.
