Who you are:

• Expert knowledge around model-based software development with Simulink
  
• You have mobile equipment systems and expert controls experience
  
• You have expert knowledge in CAN bus based systems (CAN open and J1939)
  
• Proficient in electrical components, circuits, and control theory
  
• Previous experience in product design and development
  
• Highly effective communication skills to work with cross functional teams
  

What you will do:

Concept Development

• Synthesize product requirements from other stakeholders
  
• Plan and concept control systems model development
  
• Control System Performance and evaluation
  
• Provide design/test input to project proposals
  
• Competitive truck review and evaluation
  
• Participate in Marketing / field input activities
  
• Research for future product projects
  

Product Design and Development

• Model based software engineering (MBSE)
  
• Model in the loop (MIL) testing
  
• Hardware in the loop (HIL) support
  

• Writing test plans based on requirements
  
• Evaluating fault coverage
  
• System design and evaluation
  
• Component design/evaluation
  
• Order prototype parts and build prototype vehicles
  
• Assembly design and evaluation
  
• Plan and execute prototype test activities
  

Product Documentation and Release

• Diagnostics and fault code analysis
  
• Software development & code release
  
• System level Product/Process Specification Documents
  
• Engineering list structure
  
• EPO/ECN writing
  
• Component Level Requirements/Test plans/Engineering reports
  

Manufacturing/Purchasing Coordination

• Integrate Manufacturing/purchasing input into basic design
  
• Plant support for Pilot and Product Activities
  

Strategy Development

• Component Strategy Creation
  

Project Supervision and Management

• Supervision and Tech direction to others

What you will need:

• M.S./B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering & 5 years of industry experience for an Engineer IV
  
• BS Degree in engineering & 3 years of related experience for an Engineer III
  
• BS Degree in engineering & 1 year of industry experience for an Engineer II
  
• BS Degree for an Engineer I
  

Skills, Experience & Abilities Desired:

• Simulink experience relative to MBSE and Model In the Loop (MIL) testing
  
• Expert knowledge in control system design and architectures including both electronic hardware and software of embedded systems for the global marketplace
  
• Expert in requirements writing and test plan generation
  

• Aptitude and proficiency in drawing practices, CAD, design layouts, engineering analysis
  
• Knowledge and proficiency in vehicle/automotive technology, manufacturing technology, design/test experience, test practices and procedures.
  
• Expertise in industry regulations, particularly functional safety and electromagnetic compatibility.
  
• Intermediate knowledge in scheduling and supervision.
  
• Ability in electrical components, circuits, control theory, electric motor drive theory, power electronics and inversion, and battery management systems.
  
• Proficiency in real time control networks for controlling vehicle/automotive type machines for the global marketplace.
  
• Telemetry knowledge and IOT
