Overview / Responsibilities

Superintendent 3 is responsible for directing and supervising craft labor in the execution of large-scale mechanical, electrical and or civil construction. This may be accomplished directly or through subordinate Superintendents. All completed work must meet or exceed industry standards and the customers

specification and be done at or below budget, on time and within Company safety objectives.

 Strong leadership and team building skills.

 Planning and organizational skills.

 Communication skills; listens and gets clarification.

 Le a d s by example; takes responsibility for own actions; exhibits confidence in self and others.

 Delegates work assignments by matching the responsibilities and capabilities to the personnel; effectively follows-up and provides support.

 Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner.

 Excellent oral and written communication skills; listens and gets clarification.

 Le a d s by example; takes responsibility for own actions; exhibits confidence in self and others.

 Ability to read and analyze reports and graphs.

 T reats people with respect; works with integrity and ethics.

 Follows through on commitments; willing to do what it takes to meet company objectives.

Education and Experience Requirements:

High School diploma required and 2 years of college preferred, completion of craft training program and 5 yrs experience as a foreman directing labor and 5 yrs experience as a Superintend. A 4-year college degree in engineering or construction management may substitute for craft training and foremen experience. In rare cases significant experience (10- 15 years) in technical supervision can substitute for the educational requirement. Must be able to read
