The Compensation Analyst is responsible for supporting the implementation, communication, and administration of compensation programs, including base salary and incentive programs, as well as policies and procedures for assigned groups. This role is responsible for supporting the annual merit and incentive cycle and other compensation projects and may lead projects within assigned groups. This position is also responsible for in-depth analysis of internal and external compensation data, partnering with and providing consultative guidance to HRBPs, business managers, and executives on compensation related matters, working with cross-functional teams on various projects and initiatives, developing solutions to compensation situations, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws/regulations impacting compensation practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviews job descriptions, conducts job evaluations to determine the appropriate job title, salary grade, and position level, and conducts regular job classification audits (EEO, FLSA, etc.) to ensure accurate and compliant job classifications are maintained
  • Performs market data analysis for new and existing jobs, participates in annual salary surveys, and updates and maintains market pricing tool and tracking files
  • Maintains the Job Description and Job Code Library and works with the Financial Analysis team and HRIS to properly assign job codes
  • Partners with the business to proactively develop solutions to compensation situations that ensure internal equity, external competitiveness and alignment with company objectives
  • Provides consultative guidance at all levels of the organization on compensation matters
  • Collaborates with HRBPs and business managers in maintaining organizational compensation structure and compensation related matters for their groups and business units
  • Creates and maintains compensation process documentation and tracking files to track all requested salary changes through the approval process
  • Ensures company compliance with federal and state laws, including reporting requirements
  • Advises managers and employees on the compliance requirements related to compensation policies and provides proper recommendations related to salary increases
  • Administers and facilitates the company's annual merit increase program
  • Prepares monthly compensation reports to summarize compensation changes analysis
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in related field required; Master's degree preferred
  • 3 to 5 years of experience required
  • CCP certification preferred
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in the HR Compensation field
  • Ability to work independently while exercising proper judgment and decision making
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required
  • Must have the ability to properly handle confidential and sensitive information
  • Strong project management skills including planning and organizational skills required
  • Attentiveness to details and deadlines with ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment
  • Must possess professional and clear communication skills
