Job Title:Community Engagement CoordinatorDepartment:Social Work | Research Administration

The Age-Friendly Innovation Center (AFIC) Community Engagement Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and implementing community engagement related to on-going AFIC research and program implementation efforts. The Community Engagement Coordinator will collaborate with the AFIC Director, Director of Research, Assistant Director, and other staff and students to move forward the Safe Routes to Age in Place (SRTAIP) program and other community engaged research as funding allows. The Community Engagement Coordinator will establish and coordinate project activities, priorities, and goals. They will coordinate research projects, collect, and manage data, prepare reports and manuscripts and present findings from the center's key performance indicator dashboard. Will lead relationship building with key stakeholders that will be engaged in SRTAIP to ensure appropriate collaboration and recruitment efforts. Coordinator will identify ways to grow SRTAIP work, expanding programmatic and funding opportunities. This position requires regular travel to SRAIP sites, including various areas of Franklin County, Union County, Montgomery County, and Meigs County.

This position will be available for on-going AFIC efforts that enhance SRTAIP, including efforts around housing, healthcare, inclusion, services, and ageism. This position is also responsible for outreach to the community and public speaking and serves on local, regional, state, and national advocacy and advisory boards and committees. This position will increase the diversity, equity, and inclusion of older adults into local and statewide age-friendly innovation center, across all outreach, education, and research efforts.

The Age-Friendly Community Engagement Coordinator will be part of the Age-Friendly Innovation Center team with the College of Social Work. The mission of the Center is to innovate with older adults through research, education and engagement to ensure inclusion and build resiliency to make our communities age-friendly. The Center is committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, accessibility, community engagement and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Responsibilities include

  • Coordinator and implement SRTAIP research project efforts
  • Lead relationship building for recruitment of SRTAIP
  • Identify opportunities for growth and evolution of SRTAIP
  • Outreach to local and state community partners to coordinate education, problem-solving, new program development and serve on local, regional, state, and national advocacy and advisory boards and committees
  • Will provide support to on-going AFIC initiatives that enhance SRTAIP outside of transportation

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 2 years of relevant experience required. 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred.

This position is contingent on continuous external funding. If funding is not maintained, a decrease in staff and potential termination of the program are options.

The target hiring range is $ $46,100-$ $61,450 annually. The actual salary will fall within this range based on the candidate's qualifications, internal equity, and the unit's available budget.
