Education: Required - Associate degree in general studies or currently enrolled is an advanced program degree program. Education may be substituted with at least 2 years of experience.

Experience: Required - 2 years of related direct service experience, customer service experience and public speaking skills.

Supervises: None

Summary: The Community Engagement Coordinator is responsible for using sound professional judgment and best practices to ensure quality services are provided to the service population while maintaining compliance with agency policies and procedures and established state standards and requirements.

Essential Functions:
1. Conducts community outreach, educating potential clients, professionals, and others about program and agency services.
2. Complete all required program documentation.
3. Records all group and individualized services and activities in a complete, concise, and timely manner utilizing program forms into PEIRS (DFPS) and Salesforce (BCFS) software.
4. Provide referrals to participants based on needs identified while conducting outreach efforts.
5. Coordinate/facilitate events/meetings and/or training for program participants.
6. Occasionally facilitates and provides classroom training including the core programs (TBRI, Love Notes, and applicable curriculum).
7. Meets with Director on a bi-weekly basis to evaluate status of outreach/education strategies.
8. Applies working knowledge of parent-child interaction, child development, and dynamics of child abuse/neglect to teach positive parenting and non-violent child management techniques.
9. Records all group and individualized services and activities in a complete, concise, and timely manner utilizing program forms into PEIRS (DFPS) and Salesforce software.
10. Maintain confidential client files for assigned participants.
11. Other job duties as assigned.

Measurable Deliverables:
1. Obtains and maintains certification in curriculum administration.
2. Meet all pre-determined deadlines required by Director and/or state partners.
3. Meet all state regulatory guidelines and standards that are applicable to this position.
4. Document all daily outreach efforts, participant assistance, events, and activities completely, accurately and in a timely manner and in compliance with agency policies and procedures.
5. Schedule promotion efforts consistently throughout the fiscal year.
6. Implement BCFS HHS safety protocols at all times.
7. Attending all required training.
8. Maintain BCFS HHS professional and ethical standards of conduct outlined in BCFS employee handbook.

Credentials, Skills, and Abilities:
1. Maintain current licenses and certificates required for the position including but not limited to:
• First Aid • CPR • Other
2. Pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens and maintain emotional control, and professional composure, at all times.
3. Provide proof or work eligibility status upon request.
4. Pass a pre-employment and biennial criminal background and motor vehicle check (fingerprints needed if applicant has lived out of state within the past 5 years)
5. Demonstrate the ability to:
a. Respond sensitively and competently to the service population's cultural and socio-economic characteristics.
b. Communicate effectively in writing and verbally in English and Spanish.
c. Work in a fast-paced environment.
d. Maintain computer literacy required to meet the responsibilities of the position.
e. Work effectively and without intensive supervision both independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team.

f. Travel as needed.
g. Manage time effectively and efficiently.
6. Bilingual preferred (Spanish)
