We are looking for a hardworking and highly-organized Communications Associate Manager to drive awareness and excitement for Games on Facebook and Oculus platforms. This person will work with gaming studios and organizations to help spur adoption and evangelize their success across Facebook Gaming platforms, including our recently launched cloud gaming platform. The person will also contribute to launches and support of virtual reality games on the Oculus platform. The ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about technology and new gaming platforms, understands gaming industry and culture, is a strong writer, and excels at working across multiple internal and external teams simultaneously.
Experience working with developers within the gaming or tech industry is crucial. This individual should have a track record of planning and executing joint partner announcements, game launches and working cross-functionally with partner PR/comms teams and agencies. Being able to work quickly in an always changing industry is key.

- Lead the creation and execution of communications plans to drive excitement around Facebook Gaming platforms among developers and partners
- Develop communications plans for game launches and key platform milestones across both Facebook Gaming and Oculus, including ongoing comms management for platform updates
- Create messaging and tactics that will resonate with press and the broader gaming community
- Develop strong relationships with gaming and tech press, content creators and partners
- Integrate closely with partner communications/marketing teams, often working on joint announcements
- Write social posts, blogs, pitches, and other creative materials that evangelize various game announcements and milestones
- Organize digital press events, prep spokespeople, and create briefing materials
- Work with international comms and Facebook Gaming teams on global campaigns
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure product launches and other milestones are supported with great games and developers
- Bachelors degree in English, Communications or related field
- 5+ years of experience in gaming public relations or related field
- Experience working in gaming and/or VR
- Executive communications experience
