Vertiv is hiring a Commodity Manager in Westerville, OH or Chicago, IL to develop and implement procurement strategies and plans to support forecasted materials needs for assigned commodities (i.e., homogeneous products that are traded solely on the basis of price such as metals).

• Establishes and implements procurement strategies at the commodity scope
• Negotiates and establishes purchasing agreements/contracts based on in-depth knowledge of foreign and domestic markets for optimum pricing and terms
• Assesses and presents current commodity material availability, reasonably predicts future availability and pricing trends based on market, delivery system and other contributing factors
• Drafts, explains, and implements instructions, policies and procedures for purchasing and contract management.
• Evaluates and approves conditions for issuing and awarding bids.
• Manages Buyers and serves as next level performance issues escalation point
• Resolves grievances with vendors, contractors, and suppliers.
• Conducts and delivers Supplier Business Reviews (SBR) and manages Supplier selection
• Maintains and/or implements purchasing and recordkeeping systems.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in related field required. BS is business administration, or related field.
