We are looking for a friendly Patient Care Coordinator to join our growing team! We take great pride in providing outstanding customer service to our patients, and our Patient Care Coordinators are the ambassadors of our brand! Although experience in the medical/optical industry is a plus, it is not necessary. We will provide on-the-job training for the candidate willing to learn.

Duties & Responsibilities:

* Acknowledge and greets patients, customer, and vendors as they walk into the store, in a friendly and welcoming manner
* Answers and responds to telephone inquiries in a professional and timely manner
* Schedules appointments
* Gathers patients and insurance information
* Verifies and enters patient demographics into EMR ensuring all fields are complete
* Verifies vision and medical insurance information and enters into EMR
* Maintains a clear understanding of insurance plans and is able to communicate insurance information to the patients
* Pulls schedules to ensure insurance eligibility prior to patient appointment and ensures files are complete
* Prepare insurance claims and run reports to ensure all charges are billed and filed
* Print and prepare forms for patients visit
* Collects and documents all charges, co-pays and payments into EMR
* Allocates balances to insurance as needed
* Maintains a clean workspace at all times
* Performs other duties as needed and as assigned by manager
