About the Role

The Collections Specialist is responsible for ensuring that all assigned customer accounts are current and within their payment terms, working through discrepancies, and communicating effectively with internal and external contacts pertaining to accounts.

What the Candidate Will Do

• Responsible for assigned daily internal worklist coding and notation for management team’s metrics and identification of customers needing escalated intervention
• Thoroughly research short-paid invoices by collaborating with internal departments to identify billing and process discrepancies
• Act as the liaison between assigned customers and internal departments to resolve billing issues and process conflicts
• Run and format daily queries using company software to show productivity increase/decrease on customer’s aging account
• Provide weekly account balance spreadsheet and any needed information to the customer as well as the operations team
• Ensure all work performed on customer accounts is notated daily and updated in financial systems for management to review if needed

Basic Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• 0-1 year of experience; Entry level

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in business-to-business collections
• Intermediate working knowledge of all Microsoft or Google software applications, specifically Excel formulas, and formatting
