Salary: $80,000.00 USD Annually - $110,000.00 USD Annually
Description:

The Judge Group is in search of a CNC Applications Engineer for a well established machining company in Chicago's West Suburbs. Join a well-established company of 50+ years that has experienced major growth, doubling revenues over the past 10 years.

In this role, you'll be responsible for processing, tool layouts and programming of CNC multi-axis machines.

Responsibilities:

• Create proposal for new parts from customer print.
  
• Create tool layout sheet specifying all tooling and hardware needed to setup a specific job in a specific machine tool. Also identifying Autocrib inventory number for perishable tooling so operators can locate appropriate cutting tool.
  
• Create color coded "offset print" to communicate to the machine operator what tool effects what geometry on the piece part so the operator can make appropriate adjustments to keep part within specification.
  
• Maintain and update layouts and offset prints to keep current with process improvements and changes.
  
• C.N.C. programming, process engineering.
  
• Train personnel on machine setup, machine operation, and machine repair for all Index and C.N.C. department machinery.
  
• Monitor and improve cycle time and process capability on all C.N.C. machines.
  
• Perform machine setups when department is behind or when setup person is absent.
  
• Attend corrective action meetings with quality control to provide technical solutions to process inefficiencies and quality concerns.

Qualifications:

• Experience in the industry with CNC multi-axis machines
• At least 3-5 years of machine programming experience
• Experience with multi-spindle CNC a huge plus
• Knowledge of machining processing and CNC machines.
• Knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T, inspection equipment, and tooling.
