NGHS is currently seeking a Certified Medical Assistant - CMA - NGPG OBGYN Dawsonville

Full Time Day Shift Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

Department Overview

As part of NGHS, patients of NGPG have a direct connection to Northeast Georgia Medical Center's four hospitals in Gainesville, Braselton, Winder and Dahlonega.

Job Summary: Primarily responsible for utilizing the nursing process in providing the healthcare needs of assigned patients within existing standards of care. Additional job responsibilities encompass assisting physician with assessment and care of patients, gathering and recording of data into medical record, assisting with lab clinic, and office procedures directly relating to patient care and front office duties as required for an overall efficient operation.

Requirements:

  • Medical Assistant Certification Required.
  • Current BLS certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • One to two years related experience preferred.
  • Experience as lab tech

Physical Demands
  • Occasionally lifting up to 20 lbs
  • Frequent kneeling/stooping/bending
  • Frequent standing/walking
  • Frequent pushing/pulling
  • Frequent intensive work, requires reading, writing, reasoning, & talking
