Job Summary
The Cloud Engineer position reports directly to the IT Infrastructure Design and Delivery Director and is responsible for supporting all cloud initiatives. The Cloud Engineer will take direction from the Cloud Architect to develop, design and deploy Cloud Solutions adhering to the company's security and architecture principals. The Cloud Engineer will collaborate with the other Tower Architects to produce sound designs and repeatable patterns for the enterprise

Job Specific Duties
Participate in Solution Architecture weekly meetings
Deploy an approved application cloud design end to end
• Account creation in AWS Organization
• VPC/Subnet creation
• Transit Gateway attachment and propagation
• EC2 creation (if applicable)
• S3 bucket creation (if applicable)
• Lambda function creation (if applicable)
• Cloudwatch implementation
• Cloudtrail implementation
• Load Balancer creation (if applicable)
• Access Controls creation
• Firewall Rule creation
Collaborate with Cloud Architect on all Cloud designs/delivery/support, emphasizing
• Security
• Automation
• Cost Management
• AWS Services Implementation
Collaborate with Cloud Architect to produce and refine multi-year strategies and roadmaps for the Cloud infrastructure
Continue to develop maximally robust architecture based on long term goals of Information Technology and the company vision
Participate in the annual Disaster Recovery exercise with a focus on refining the process for recovering systems in the Cloud
Work with leaders across the department to educate and inform on the IT Cloud infrastructure strategy and technologies
Interface with other IT members, so that any problems arising during design or implementation can be resolved in accordance with the fundamental architectural concepts, and user's needs and constraints
In cooperation with IT Security, enable the organization to increase IT security maturity, based on NIST CSF (National Institute of Standards and Technology Cybersecurity Framework) standards
