009314 CLIN SOCIAL WORKER 2
Job Summary
The Division of Infant, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (ICAP) at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital (ZSFG) is looking to hire a bilingual Spanish-speaking Clinical Social Worker I/II (CSW I/II) to join our interdisciplinary team at Child and Adolescent Services (CAS). CAS is an outpatient mental health clinic embedded within the hospital building and co-located on the same floor as the outpatient pediatrics clinics at ZSFG, where we receive the majority of our referrals from primary care providers. Clinicians at CAS strive to provide evidence-based, culturally- sensitive, and trauma-informed care to youth ages 0 to 21 years of age and their families. We place great emphasis on taking a strengths-based approach with each family and forming strong therapeutic relationships with our clients. Many of our clients have experienced one or more forms of trauma and often present with various emotional and/or behavioral problems, including (but not limited to) anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, PTSD, adjustment disorders, eating disorders, ADHD, specific learning disorders and substance use disorders. Mental health services provided include psychiatric assessments, therapy (individual, family and group), case management, psychological testing and medication evaluation and management.

The purpose of the CSW I/II position is to provide direct clinical service including mental health assessment and treatment to children referred to UCSF, ZSFGH Department of Psychiatry Child and Adolescent Services. In order to address the growing demand for mental health services at ZSFGH, it is essential that the CSW I/II be able to provide services in Spanish and English. CAS maintains a yearly contract with Community Behavioral Health Services (CBHS) and all clients have either Medi-Cal or Healthy San Francisco Insurance, and are predominantly low-income and from culturally diverse backgrounds. The CSW I/II will use CBHS and programmatic assessment tools to complete diagnostic assessments and develop treatment plans for clients/families and will link clients who do not meet medical necessity for intensive mental health interventions to community services and resources that are appropriate for the needs of the child. The position may also include intake coordination (performing initial clinical phone screens for new referrals and documenting efforts into our electronic database), managing the waitlist, and improving communication systems with referral sources and direct clinical service (mental health assessments, treatment and case management) for children and adolescents referred to the CAS clinic. Clinical Social Worker IIs who are eligible to supervise will also have opportunities to supervise psychology, social work, and/or marriage and family therapy interns.

The CSW I/II will also provide clinical coverage during one evening per week at CAS and may provide some clinical supervision.
