Using the Quality Caring Model, the ASD/PACU RN demonstrates expertise in the performance and application of the nursing process to plan and manage the care of patients in the ASD/PACU.

Description:

  • Using the Quality Caring Model, the ASD/PACU RN demonstrates expertise in the performance and application of the nursing process to plan and manage the care of patients in the ASD/PACU.

Responsibilities:
  • Monitors surgical patients' condition through post anesthesia recovery period utilizing regular contact and assessment.
  • Educate patients and family
  • Plan continuum of care

What you will need

Required:
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program; basic professional nursing degree (with requirement to obtain a BSN within a specific time frame)
  • Current licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing or Compact State as a Registered Nurse.
  • BLS certification (American Heart Association)
  • At least 1 year of nursing experience in an acute care setting such as PACU, Med/Surg or Critical Care
  • 2 years of ASD or PACU experience required for bonus eligibility

Preferred:
  • BSN or MSN preferred
