What We're Looking For:
Barge Design Solutions is currently seeking a Client Services Leader to conduct business development and lead client relations in the Federal market. This role maintains close communication with Project Managers and other members of the federal team to ensure and verify projects are executed according to defined plans, quality standards, and client expectations. In leading business development efforts, the role has responsibilities for coordinating, supporting, and conducting business development activities on behalf of various business units aligning with Barge's business and strategic plan. This role combines deep professional proficiency with knowledge of the business to enhance financial results.

The responsibilities of this position include:

  • Contributes to and executes strategies to support defined federal markets through establishing strong relationships working with directors, program managers and other subject matter specialists on reconnaissance, pursuits, and securing of work.
  • Undertakes proactive workforce planning initiatives and executes plans resulting in identifying opportunities through seeking new clients, estimate opportunity cost, etc.
  • Develops and executes plans to achieve growth and financial profitability by securing contracts.
  • Collaborates with marketing to complete go/stop analysis and develop win plan.
  • Guides and leads the development of proposals collaborating with the PM to identify the scope, schedule and budget negotiation.
  • Represents the company at various events including promoting organization at various client events and at industry trade associations.
  • Attends project meetings as required to build and maintain client relationship.
  • Maintains communication with teams to monitor progress of project, ensure client engagement, and lead conflict resolution. Occasionally provides technical support to ensure successful deliverables.
  • Leads and ensures CRM (Cosential) maintenance for federal pursuits.
  • Actively works to minimize business development costs.
  • Performs other duties as required.


Education & Experience Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from accredited program.
  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in the federal marketplace with demonstrated success in project management.
  • Experience and demonstrated success working with USACE, Air Force, Navy, or other Department of Defense clients and relevant federal sectors.
  • Has an established professional network in the federal market area.
