Join our team of competent and compassionate professionals as a Case Manager in the MISSION Springfieldprogram at Behavioral Health Network!

**NOTICE**

In accordance with the BHN Mandatory COVID vaccine policy - all staff, interns, temps, residents and contractors are required to be fully vaccinated no later than day one of employment. Medical or religious exemptions will be offered and must be approved prior to starting work.

Your experience, knowledge and great skills will support the MISSION Springfield program with the following:

  • Providing high-quality, community-based and clinically-informed services to help individuals make positive changes through treatment.
  • Using sound clinical theories and principles with individuals and groups.
  • Providing both evidence-based co-occurring disorder interventions (the "MISSION" model) and wraparound supports, including case management and community outreach.
  • Providing services in homes, clinics, and other settings.
  • Carrying a caseload of 15-20 adults involved in the criminal justice system.
  • Ensuring pertinent family members or residential providers are involved in treatment, as needed.
  • Building working relationships with agencies and organizations that support individuals' recovery to facilitate referral and care coordination.
  • Working closely with the MISSION program clinical team and the Springfield Drug Court.
  • Completing quality and timely documentation and bills for services in compliance with regulations.
  • Increasing their knowledge through supervision, training and development, seminars, and conferences.

Who are we?

The MISSION-Springfield team, working alongside the Springfield Drug Court and UMASS Program Evaluators, provides clinical wraparound services to participants referred by the Springfield Drug Court. The clinical team uses the evidence-based MISSION-CJ model to address co-occurring mental health & substance use disorder treatment and support the needs of adults involved in the criminal justice system. Supports include clinical case management, individual and group work and supports, baseline and follow up assessments, and fidelity logs.

What are we looking for in a Case Manager?
  • Bachelor's Degree and 3 to 5 years of experience working with individuals served with Co-Occurring Disorders (CODs); or Master's Degree in clinical/counseling/education psychology or social work with one-year experience working with clients with Co-Occurring Disorders (CODs).
  • Knowledge of psychotherapy, family/systems dynamics, substance use and co-occurring disorders, and group work (required).
  • Theoretical knowledge and experience to provide case management, outreach and vocational support (required).
  • Working knowledge of community resources, and how to help individuals access them (required).
  • Experience providing comprehensive Intake Evaluations with clinical formulations and recommendations based on sound clinical principles and judgment (required).
  • Experience providing comprehensive risk/crisis evaluations, and taking appropriate actions to keep people served and others safe (required).
  • Ability to use electronic health records and other tech-enabled applications with facility (required).
  • Experience with case management and vocational support (required).
  • Experience working with Massachusetts community-based mental health and substance use treatment programs (required).
  • Willingness and ability to treat challenging and diverse individuals and populations (required).
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English (preferred).
