Summary:
Abstracts information from medical records for inclusion in the Cancer Registry database in order to facilitate cancer research and program decisions according to the standards of the American College of Surgeons, the New York State Cancer Registry and Roswell Park Cancer Registry guidelines.

This position offers a hybrid work schedule or remote based on location.

Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience

Certification Requirement
Certified Tumor Registry Abstractor (CTR)
Education and Experience
Associate's degree.

NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.

Preferred Qualifications

The preferred candidate should have an Associate's degree and CTR (Certified Tumor Registry abstractor). The preferred candidate should have 1-3 years of experience in a hospital cancer registry.
