In this role the Campus Protection Officer will:

Essential Responsibilities

• Patrol industrial property to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of personnel, doors, windows, and gates.
• Answer alarms and investigate disturbances.
• Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
• Circulate among visitors and employees to preserve order and protect property.
• Maintain positive control over the flow of pedestrians and vehicles entering and leaving the facility
• Maintain the highest level of customer service and professionalism
• Follow all procedures and direction from the Post Orders, Shift Supervisor, and Plant Protection Manager

Qualifications/Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 1 year experience working in the Law Enforcement or Security field
• AED / CPR and First Aid certified or the ability to get certified
• Must be available and able to work any scheduled shift

Desired Characteristics

• Associates Degree in Criminal Justice or related discipline from an accredited college or university
• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to work under inclement weather conditions
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Current Emergency Medical Services Credentials
