Reporting to the AVP, Strategic Fundraising Initiatives, the Campaign Director will serve as a critical strategic partner in the execution of JDRF's multi-year fundraising campaign. Success in this role requires strategic thinking, strong project management and collaboration skills as well as the ability to work effectively with staff across teams or external to the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and manages the workflow of the campaign, including project management, analyzing and presenting information and data, preparing presentations, and managing internal and external campaign communications.
  • In collaboration with the AVP, Strategic Fundraising Initiatives crafts communications related to the campaign priorities and progress and manages logistics to help ensure that the campaign runs smoothly and achieves its goal
  • Leads or participates in internal communication and staff education to develop materials and content for campaign update sessions. Tracks topics covered with various constituencies and those needed in the future.
  • Participates in the development of processes, tracking systems, and communication vehicles to facilitate the implementation of campaign policies and procedures
  • For CEO and Campaign Cabinet members, partner with department colleagues to collect and streamline requisite prep documents for donor meetings
  • Runs and distributes campaign progress reports on campaign planning and progress in written and chart form for internal and external audiences, including the Board of Trustees and leadership volunteers and completes further analysis as needed.
  • Schedules and coordinates logistics for remote campaign meetings and other outreach opportunities such as calls, online meetings, and webinars.
  • Serves as a resource to those staffing campaign donor/volunteer committees and events. Responsibilities may require staffing planning meetings, overseeing the preparation of presentations, ensuring research is completed, etc.
  • Conducts research and benchmarks new ideas and practices around campaign management to inform recommended strategies to benefit JDRF. Responsible for collaborating with the Strategic Fundraising Initiatives team and other partners to design and implement these practices.

Qualifications
  • 7 years of professional experience in project management, communications, fundraising, or related field. (Experience in nonprofit management preferred).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
  • Experience preparing PowerPoint presentations, talking points, and other materials for various audiences. Ability to communicate effectively in person, in writing, by phone or over video call
  • Excellent data and database management skills; prior experience with Salesforce preferred
  • Must be able to evaluate problems accurately and display good, sound, and confidential judgment.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and data security
  • Ability to set a vision and influence and inspire others to action, as well as a willingness to dig in and understand the work being done at a more granular level.
  • Ability to serve as a strategic thinker, capable of providing proactive solutions to challenges and opportunities
  • Ability to work with stakeholders at all levels - including JDRF leadership, development officers and volunteers
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills including experience forming and sustaining working relationships with internal partners on projects within a complex organization
  • Experience demonstrating accountability and follow-through
  • Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects in a deadline-oriented environment
  • Intellectual curiosity and ability to think strategically, be creative, and effectively plan and implement high-quality programs.
  • College degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Target Salary - $90K - $120K

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
