YOUR ROLE


You will ensure that our people and our business thrive. Reporting to CC North America President, you will be the business strategy and delivery right hand to the functional leadership team in business planning, internal communications and running of various internal initiatives and processes. This is a demanding role with many branches of responsibility, so you will need to be comfortable initiating and working on many projects at one time and have experience with and the ability to prioritize your time and attention appropriately. This role is at the heart of our brand, ensuring superior delivery excellence and continuous improvement, yet it needs significant creativity and agility to be able to adapt and prioritize in changing business and team needs.

You will be the go-to person for keeping a high-performance engine running. You will be responsible for leading the business operations functions and office administration team - globally and externally coordinating delivery of quality, safety, laboratory, and any facilities management, overarching all day-to-day operations of the site. As well as bringing your operations expertise to the role, you will need to be a true team player, an excellent listener, and a strong communicator to influence others in pursuit of our business goals.

DAY-TO-DAY

  • Work directly with the North America leadership team to develop annual execution plans, including support of site level budgeting, ensuring regular communications to staff to ensure they stay connected and changes can be embedded successfully.
  • Collaborate across functions and operational teams to organize and program manage regional and site level strategic initiatives and activities to ensure the smooth running, effective delivery of change and maximum engagement of teams
  • Continually evaluate and improve current business processes, implement process change, when necessary, with an eye toward compliance, efficiency, and ensuring that CC's tools are relevant and appropriately utilized
  • Create and coordinate regular business analytics reporting & dashboards to ensure that all key global & local stakeholders are aligned to achieve growth and success, monitoring KPI's that show delivery of the regional strategy and raising suggestions where progress may be behind
  • Lead and facilitate decision making in all site operations aspects, ensuring that the work environment and employee engagement is maintained to the highest standards, speaking to our values and culture.
  • Manage and develop internal communications to ensure that people are connected to the region and a sense of team is maintained, including facilitating the companywide "All Hands" meeting
  • Working closely with the HR and Operations team to partner on the development and delivery of our Employee Value Proposition, in line with Regional objectives, ensuring CC is differentiated as an employer.
  • Developing business continuity plans
  • Primary point of contact internally and externally and responsible for smooth day-to-day business operation of a cutting-edge high tech development site, including but not limited to:
  • Procurement & shipping activities
    • Lab resource management and supplies/upgrades/repairs
    • Ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements
    • Working with the People Team on onboarding
    • Visitor experience,
    • Brand events etc.
  • Responsible person for OSHA, e.g. conducting regular safety inspections and walk arounds, managing the chemical inventory and working closely with the Global SHE team to ensure compliance.
  • Main point of contact for emergency response with support from Global SHE team.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • The role carries delegated responsibility-- excellent problem solving, decision-making abilities and self-sufficiency are essential for success
  • Superior inclusive leadership, negotiation skills, and ability to influence decision and solve problems working with very senior stakeholders, internally and externally.
  • Demonstrated record of excellent organizational and project management skills to plan and run initiatives and key operational areas, including business functions and state-of-art facilities management
  • Experience in financial planning and budgeting
  • Highly effective written and verbal communication skills that succinctly articulate messages from the leadership
  • Experience in event planning and coordination
  • More than 5 years' experience working in Business Operations/Strategy Manager roles
  • Bachelor's Degree in business, STEM or relevant field is required
  • MBA preferred
  • Must be able to work from the Boston office 3-5 days a week.
