A day in the life.

As a Business Process Specialist, Finance on the Finance Corporate team you will be a strong process design focused professional who knows how to balance internal controls, efficiency, quality, consistent application of processes and organizing change management. This candidate will be working in conjunction with theFinance Business Process Leadership Team, focusing on the activities within Controllership and FP&A. You will participate in the creation and testing of workflows, Systems, reporting and documentation for accuracy and completeness within the framework of MMA standard operating procedures and playbook.

This positionwill consider agency management system, reporting tools, and other available technology and softwarewhen creating, documenting, and testing new processes. The Business Process Specialist, Finance will also participate in documenting andmaintain procedures, and other business process artifacts, to be used both in training and as an ongoingreference. In addition, this position will collaborate with regional training resources and otherstakeholders to identify overarching knowledge gaps and ensure successful fulfillment of AMSonboarding and training needs. The Business Process Specialist, Finance will report to the Finance Implementation Team Manager. You will consistently demonstrate MMA core values of integrity, collaboration, passion,innovation, and accountability. Occasional travel may be required.Travel may consist of off-site venues, occasional overnight stays, and visits to other operating companies. Work occurs during regular day hours as well as occasional extended hours and schedule flexibility necessary to complete tasks to meet needs.

  • Proven critical thinking, analytical, and problem solving skills
  • Awareness of the impact and consequences of decisions affecting the business process design
  • A knack for process improvement, specifically refining theefficiency, quality, and effectivenessof various workflows and procedures by deploying best practices
  • Strong organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize workload and balance multiple projects simultaneously, and demonstrated successful follow through on deliverables
  • Demonstrated experience in effectively presenting to a diverse group across multiple skill levels
  • Team player! Enthusiastic and engaging with an ability to work with a wide range of cross-functional work teams and leaders.

These additional qualifications are a plus, but not required to apply:
  • Minimum +5 years of experience in finance/accounting
  • Strong knowledge of agency management systems (CRM, AMS, LMS, etc.), such as Applied Epic, Sagitta, BenefitPoint, AMS360
  • Strong understanding of business process in Premium Accounting, Internal controls, Financial reporting, Sales compensation modeling.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $89,100.00-$155,925.00. The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
