As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Business Development Leader - Civilian Agencies. In this role you would be responsible for the development and implementation of business development plans, capture management, and sales to the US Federal Government for both Department of Defense and Civilian Agencies in the Western Region.

This position can be based out of any of our GHD offices within the US or remote.

Working with an energetic and hard-working team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

Responsibilities:

  • Drives the growth and client goals and objectives in the US Federal Client Sector Plan
  • Leading business development, client engagement, client service management, and strategic marketing
  • Developing and maintaining high value relationships with Federal clients
  • Growing market share by partnering with other large and small business partners for Federal captures
  • Implementing short and long-term strategies that contribute to the growth and profitability
  • Actively participates in professional and/or industrial organizations to promote the GHD brand.
  • Developing new project opportunities, promote technical service diversification and new growth opportunity initiatives for GHD with existing clients
  • Expands and maintains current client base aligned with Region or Sector plans
  • Sets-up and leads initial meetings and presentations for potential and current clients.
  • Ensures Opportunity Pipeline is accurate and updated
  • Critically reviews and approves key proposals submitted to clients, ensuring signing authorities are implemented (QA100).
  • Represents and promotes GHD at networking events, professional and industrial associations, society meetings, conferences, and tradeshows
People:
  • Communicates regularly with Market and Key Client Leaders and Regions
  • Attracts strategic hires across all markets to develop the overall business
  • Achieves appropriate and effective pricing strategies to improve profit in context of revenue growth objectives.
Performance:
  • Works with Legal for review of Terms and Conditions on non-standard risk engagements
  • Supervises client activity across Sectors and recommends improved ways of growing client penetration.
  • Leads, supports, and supervises strategic pursuits in Federal Sector
  • Develops goals and actions in alignment with the Market, Client Sector, Business Group, and Region business plans.
  • Strong dedication to client service excellence
  • 10+ years in the Sector in a client development/account management role with US Federal Government
  • BS or BA in science, engineering or related field; MBA is a plus
  • Excellent communication and team building skills
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills as well as interpersonal and presentation skills
What you will bring to the team:
  • Bachelor and/or Master degree from an accredited school in an engineering related technical field (civil, structural, electrical or mechanical) including architecture
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License or Registered Architect (RA) License
  • Minimum of 10 years program management experience, with a minimum of 5 years experience in US Department of Defense Facility Design Civil Works or & General Infrastructure Program Management
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with proven ability to develop, mentor, and lead professional technical staff
  • Able and willing to travel to project job sites and client offices as needed

Salary Range: $138,248.00 - $207,372.00 based on experience.
