Hyster-Yale is seeking a Business Development Representative Intern that will have the opportunity to acquire real-world experience by emerging as a catalyst for success. For a university/college student, the real-world experience you'll gain throughout the duration of the internship will help you stand out and will be more than just another line on your resume.

The Business Development Intern is a PT or FT position designed to give exposure to various aspects of inside sales with an emphasis on prospecting, selling, and business development processes. This is a very hands-on, high impact learning opportunity in a fast- paced manufacturing company. The Hyster-Yale BDR Internship Program offers a robust experience for ambitious and curious students, who are interested professionally in developing their skills to become the next generation of sales leaders.

Responsibilities:

Intern will be responsible for working with the Inside Sales Team to support in areas of the sales and marketing tools and reporting processes. The intern will also work on special projects, interacting with team members within the Business Development Department and will assist with the following initiatives that include, but are not limited to:

  • Review existing sales collateral and recommend improvements
  • Provide administrative support as needed
  • Conduct effective, innovative, accurate, and timely analysis generated using available systems
  • Serve as an initial point-of-contact for inbound customer connections
  • Work closely with BDR team to execute planned programs to generate demand
  • Analysis and execution of existing document migration
  • Promote stability and consistency by documenting key processes and procedures, providing suggestions for improvements, and adhering to best practices
  • Analyze and create content for individual cadence projects
  • Keep a log of everything learned and deliver a presentation to the team and management upon completion of the internship
Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge:

  • Student currently enrolled in a relevant post-secondary program
  • Strong communicator with great verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to be discreet when handling sensitive internal information
  • A willingness to learn
  • Detail-oriented
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Preferred:
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field; New grads are welcome to apply
  • Previous intern experience
