General Summary
The Security and Testing Analyst is responsible for providing support for business applications as well as serving as the liaison between IS and the business support departments. Formats, designs, and builds relevant functional security business procedures into appropriate electronic workflows to provide to the end-users of the business applications. Works with the business support areas in order to elicit, analyze, communicate and validate requirements for business application security.

Principal Responsibilities
The Security Testing Analyst will:

  1. Support design, build, test, and deploy user security and testing of Workday ERP/HRMS applications in implementation and on-going support.
  2. Operate as Workday security administrator
  3. Collaborate with business stakeholders to design and execute test scripts and scenarios.
  4. Assist with installing business application upgrades and enhancements by collaborating with internal departments and external vendors to develop conversion plans for system changes including communication, and maintenance testing.
  5. Provide consultation on application security and design.
  6. Support business application projects by assisting with identifying business requirements, determining objectives, identifying stakeholders, recommending product solutions, and establishing budgets and timelines.
  7. Translate business requirements into system design, ensuring systems deliver the desired capabilities to meet the needs of the users.
  8. Collaborate with IS staff and users to develop test plans, including integration and user acceptance testing, to verify configuration satisfies design requirements.
  9. Develop documentation for training, maintenance, and support, including problem resolution and escalation decision trees.
  10. Assist with development of plans and materials for employee education including the evaluation of training for effectiveness.
  11. May assist with providing user training
  12. May serve on appropriate SRAlab committees.
  13. Perform all other duties that may be assigned in the best interest of the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab.
Reporting Relationships
  1. Reports directly to the Director, IT and Corporate Applications

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
  1. Undergraduate degree in information systems or business (e.g. Computer Science, Accounting, etc.). Work experiences can replace traditional educational requirements.
  2. Certification in one or more Workday modules a plus.
  3. Minimum of 2 years' experience in an Information Systems Applications Analysts role or equivalent experience.
  4. Minimum of 2 years' experience with ERP/HCM role security maintenance or application testing ownership
  5. Knowledge of healthcare business support processes in one or more area.
  6. Proven ability to manage software initiatives of varying sizes and complexity.
  7. Experience working within Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office tools.
  8. Personal computer skills necessary to prepare project plans, presentations, flow charts, test plans, etc.
  9. Firm knowledge of workflow in one or more area and ability to work independently with users to define how technology can drive business processes.
  10. Analytical skills necessary to resolve issues and/or increase operational efficiency of the business support processes.
  11. Ability to pay close attention to details when designing, implementing, documenting, and maintaining system functions.
  12. Interpersonal skills necessary to actively listen and communicate effectively with IS peers and user community to deliver and support systems based on user needs.
  13. Critical thinking and reasoning skills to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternate solutions, conclusions, and approaches to problems.
  14. Ability to support one or more areas of SRAlab's existing business system applications.
  15. Ability to manage small-scale systems implementation projects
  16. Ability and willingness to learn new tools and Business Information Systems to be identified as part of SRAlab's future core applications toolset.

Working Conditions
  1. Normal office environment with little or no exposure to dust or extreme temperature.
