Summary:

Conduct market, business performance and financial analyses for assigned lines of business across sales regions and for the overall Retail Channel. Develop and monitor data quality metrics and ensure business data and reporting needs are met. May lead large and longer term projects which guide strategic business decisions and changes. This advanced level analyst role requires strong analytical, communication and technology skills.

Essential Functions

Business Planning & Execution

  • Develop annual operating plans in collaboration with internal stakeholders in Field Sales, Finance and Marketing for specific lines of business
  • Formulate Region sales goals in alignment with annual operating plan and monitor performance
  • Manage business segment reporting and KPI development to ensure successful delivery of goals and initiatives.
  • Support presentation development and delivery to convey plans, results and drivers to leadership and cross functional partners.

Sales Analytics & Reporting

  • Synthesize data from multiple sources and build analytical models that generate actionable insights
  • Develop and implement dashboard reporting and analytical tools used to improve sales productivity
  • Reviews reporting tools and analytic methodologies and lead efforts to improve

Cross Functional Leadership & Teamwork

  • Collaborate to investigate issues, develop recommendations and implement productivity improvements
  • Participates as subject matter expert in projects related to assigned business segments
  • Mentor junior team members on analytics tools and techniques

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Proven analytical background
  • Strong communication (written and presentation) and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Knowledge of BI Tools, database structures including relational database concepts
  • Project leadership experience

Education & Experience / Licenses & Certification

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics or Information Technology
  • 7+ years of analytical experience in related industry
  • Mentoring and team leadership experience

Work Environment/Physical Requirements

Works in an office environment sitting at a desk, table or computer workstation for extended periods of time. May travel by car, plane or other form of transportation to attend business meetings or conferences. Approximately 50-80 percent of the time spent on the job involves the use of a personal computer.
