Job Summary:

As a key member of the Avnet® Digital Supply Chain Innovation team, the role will require insight and understanding of digital supply chain "best practices" and keep pace with the competition and peer companies. The candidate will be responsible for analyzing business data to generate insights, design reports, and build tools for decision- makers. The role will also work with team members to identify opportunities to streamline information and thereby effectively improve business processes. In addition to that, the role also requires extensive collaboration with internal business units, and external customers at times, to coordinate and maintain a robust pipeline for data sourcing and delivery based on requirements. Within the Velocity team, the candidate will work alongside business analysts, data scientists and enterprise architects to identify opportunities to streamline existing solutions, reporting etc. to achieve operational efficiency across the various business units within the team.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Data Collection and Analysis:
    • Collects, compiles, and analyzes data from internal and external data sources.
    • Performs analysis and for internal business units and external partners.
  • Reports and Tool Development:
    • Develops reports and other tools to deliver KPIs, enabling business users to make informed decisions.
    • Gathers, aggregates models, and analyzes information from multiple sources (financial performance, customer insights, competitor profiling, competitive threats, industry trends, etc.).
    • Communicates complex data in comprehensible ways. Evaluates information from multiple sources and clearly indicates quality of final analysis.
  • Pipeline Management:
    • Designs, creates, and implements templates to collect, display and analyze data for assigned projects.
    • Maintains source data and data connections to ensure data flows to end applications as intended.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Maps AS IS and TO BE business processes via flow charts to ensure comprehensive understanding of workflows and handoffs.
    • Identifies, investigates, and participates in opportunities to improve processes and procedures.
  • Implementation and Change Management:
    • Establishes standards and procedures for a variety of processes through business analysis.
    • Documents requirements, generates workflow documentation, and conducts training.
    • Systems and user testing as required to validate quality of process or tool.
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Level Specifications:
  • Extensive knowledge and application of analytics principles, theories, concepts, best practices, and techniques.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with data mining, collection, manipulation, modeling, and presentation.
  • Experienced in the use of Excel (VBA), Power BI (DAX/Power Query M), Robotic Process Automation modeling and development, Python, MS Visio, MS Project, Salesforce (Lightning), SQL etc.
  • Develops solutions to complex problems where analysis of situations and/or data requires in- depth evaluation of variables.
  • Determines best approach to achieve results and provide suggestions to improve policies and procedures.
  • Background and experience in SAP a plus.
  • Proven track record of successful implementations for Customer focused applications
  • Proven track record of working in a fast-paced, agile environment with cross-functional teams
  • Able to manage activities across multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills

Work Experience:
  • Typically 5+ years with bachelor's or equivalent.

Education and Certification(s):
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.
