The Manufacturing Lead Engineer role requires a highly skilled/expert who coordinates with engineers or technical employees responsible for execution of solutions in support of Global Innovation & Mobility Solutions programs / products. Provides technical solutions and guides the team to successful execution of products. Develops new products, processes, standards, or operational plans for the organization's business strategies with a direct impact on business and/or function overall results. Influences others directly or indirectly within the organization to accept new concepts, practices, and approaches. May include identifying problems, updating or modifying working methods that may be complex in their work area without the benefit of defined procedures.

The Manufacturing Integration Engineer role requires a highly skilled/expert who coordinates with engineers or technical employees responsible for execution of solutions in support of Global Innovation & Mobility Solutions programs / products. Provides technical solutions and guides the team to successful execution of products. Develops new products, processes, standards, or operational plans for the organization's business strategies with a direct impact on business and/or function overall results. Influences others directly or indirectly within the organization to accept new concepts, practices, and approaches. May include identifying problems, updating or modifying working methods that may be complex in their work area without the benefit of defined procedures.

Job Description:

Responsible for directly working with BrightDrop program/product manufacturing plans which includes both product development and execution.

Person will also be responsible for managing reciprocal relationships with Program Mgt. / Mfg. Engineering and Product Engineering to facilitate and enable program and product decisions regarding content, new technology implementation and issue countermeasures in regard to customer expectations.

Directly support the First Mile / Last Mile leadership team to develop a long-term manufacturing plan to ensure quality, meet volume forecasts and program profitability. They will support EP1 product team and support execution as needed. This will include cross functional engagement in manufacturing and program discussions. Lastly, this role requires collaboration with Engineering leadership on the establishment of product quality expectations.

Additional Qualifications:

  • BS in Engineering (Masters preferred)
  • Combined 10+ years' experience in Global Manufacturing
    • Experience leading in new architecture-based programs through execution
    • Experience leading technical manufacturing operations
    • Experience in manufacturing operations
    • Experience in application of lean mfg principles and/or GMS
    • Experience in Vehicle Launch Process / Execution
  • High level of independent judgment and decision making
  • Comfort working independently within ambiguous and often changing objectives
  • Ability to think strategically and look across all programs variants for an architecture for efficient and consistent solutions
  • Support sector cost, schedule and quality requirements
  • Ability to work comfortably and effectively with cross functional team
  • High level of interpersonal, oral and written communication skills; ability to interact with all levels of organization
  • Action-oriented and drives for results
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple people/projects and assignments with a high level
  • of autonomy and accountability
  • Knowledge of various composite materials and manufacturing processes
