Baer is looking for Azure Infrastructure Architect for a 6-month Federal project located in Woodlawn, MD.

Title: Azure Infrastructure Architect
Location: Hybrid - Woodlawn, MD
Duration: 6 months
Rate: All-inclusive
Alignment: W2 or C2C (Vendors Not Permitted)

Description:

• Lead the design of complex Azure cloud infrastructure solutions that are scalable, secure, and aligned with business needs. Develop detailed architecture blueprints and design documentation.
• Oversee the deployment of Azure infrastructure solutions, including virtual networks, compute, storage, identity management, and security. Ensure proper configuration and integration of services within the Azure ecosystem.
• Continuously assess and optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, scalability, cost-efficiency, and security. Implement monitoring, logging, and automation to enhance operational efficiency.
• Work closely with DevOps, development, and IT teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud infrastructure with application and service development. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Design and implement disaster recovery and backup strategies to ensure high availability and data integrity in the event of service interruptions.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation of infrastructure designs, configurations, processes, and procedures. Ensure knowledge transfer and clear communication across teams.

Requirements:

• 7-10 years of experience in IT infrastructure with at least 5 years in Azure cloud architecture and implementation.
• Experience with Azure Cloud network infrastructure, including Azure Virtual Network, ExpressRoute, DNS configuration, and integration with client on-prem networks.
• Experience with Azure Active Directory, Azure identity management, and role-based access control (RBAC).
• Experience with Azure Analytics Log Workspace, Application Insights, Azure Monitor, and logging consolidation and monitoring.
• Experience with Azure DevOps and developing CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes in Azure is a plus.
• Strong proficiency in Azure services such as Virtual Machines, Azure AD, Networking, Storage, App Services, and Security Center.
• Extensive experience in designing and implementing scalable cloud architectures, including hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
• Deep understanding of networking concepts, including VPNs, VNETs, subnets, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Expertise in automation and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as ARM templates, Terraform, or Azure DevOps.
• Solid knowledge of security best practices and tools within the Azure ecosystem.
• Experience with disaster recovery, high availability, and backup solutions in a cloud environment.
• Azure certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure DevOps Engineer are highly desirable.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field.
