This leadership role will be responsible for 4 teams across multiple US locations, that support Underwriters in the Excess Casualty & Everest Specialist Underwriters (ESU) business segments. The priorities of the role are to drive process improvements, identify and deliver on opportunities to leverage offshore team and ensure readiness for Workflow tool delivery.

The UW Services Team of Everest Insurance, a member of the Everest Re Group, Ltd. is looking for a someone to join our Warren, Atlanta or Chicago office.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Oversee 4 teams, with 35+ team members, across multiple US locations, that support Underwriters with the Excess Casualty & Everest Specialist Underwriters (ESU) business segments.
  • Deliver & execute operational readiness of the Guidewire workflow platform.
  • Drive Change Management within the teams to ensure successful transition to future state process.
  • Drive execution for strategic priorities for segments within responsibility, resulting in shifting work off Underwriter desks and into Operations.
  • Drive synergies and consistency across utilization of the BPO for segments within responsibility, leveraging know-how across segments and breaking silos between teams driving operational sustainability.
  • Model Process Improvement Culture, including identifying & drive process improvements initiatives across the Section.
  • Partner with and foster relationships with key Operations & UW Stakeholders to deliver on priorities.
  • Execute on people recruitment, training & engagement strategy for the team.
  • Create a culture that fosters development, accountability, and engagemen.t
  • Empower direct Leadership team, proactively delegate and act as coach/mentor for Extended Leadership Team.

Qualifications, Education & Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years in a strategic, people leadership role.
  • Experience with Guidewire or alternative Workflow tool, driving implementation, adoption & Change Management readiness within the team.
  • Previous experience driving change leveraging the change management principals.
  • Demonstrated experience to think strategically, organize deliverables and drive execution.
  • Demonstrated experience leading/creating high performing teams and creating highly engaged teams.
  • Passion for talent, coaching and mentoring.
  • Project Management experience with leading delivery across multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience leading/creating high performing teams and creating highly engaged teams.
  • University degree or equivalent business experience required.
  • Minimum 10+ years (re)insurance experience.
  • Previous experience working in a Matrix organization is a plus.
  • Previous experience leading virtual teams is a plus.
