Job Description Summary

This position is responsible for tasks supporting the tax department at Lamb Weston. Responsibilities include assisting with the Company's corporate income tax compliance work as well as the Company's quarterly/annual financial reporting for income taxes. Additional responsibilities may include responding to tax audit information requests and researching specific tax issues. This position will partner with personnel at all levels of the tax department, working as a team to ensure deadlines are met within a timely fashion.

Job Description

THE OPPORTUNITY

Support the Lamb Weston Tax Team on several projects and technical responsibilities. Skilled mentors will be assigned for the duration of the position. Typical duties may include but are not limited to:

• Plan and perform internal tax projects
• Leverage data analytics to prepare tax calculations and perform duties
• Prepare reports for internal and external auditors
• Recommend process improvements

INFORMATION:

• Duration: part time during school year (10 - 20 hours a week), potential for full time in the summer.
• Individual will make a presentation to the Finance Leadership Team at the conclusion of assignment.

• Individual will attend organized social events throughout the summer

Basic & Preferred Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a degree program related to Tax, Accounting, Finance
• Minimum GPA 3.0
• Self-starter with strong results orientation
• Demonstrated strengths in relationship building, problem solving and conflict management.
• Ability to problem solve with limited guidance
• Continuous improvement mindset and methodology
• Excellent verbal and oral communication skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong computer competency
• Experience with MS suite of products desirable
