Associate, Safety

Job Description:

The Health and Safety (H&S) Associate is responsible for the proactive management of H&S data recordkeeping and reporting. This role focuses primarily on collecting, organizing, and analyzing safety information to identify trends and track key performance indicators.

Responsibilities

• H&S Data Administration
  
  • Analyze H&S data to identify trends, patterns, and correlations on a project, business unit and corporate level
    
  • Serve as Administrator for H&S software
    
  • Monitor data inputted into H&S software, maintain access controls and data integrity
    
  • Conduct routine audits of H&S data to ensure accuracy and compliance with policies and procedures
    
• Reporting and Communication
  
  • Proactively escalate any trends or leading indicators that could lead to injuries or incidents
    
  • Prepare regular reports, dashboards, and presentations on safety performance metrics to key internal and external stakeholders.
    
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including safety professionals, operations, legal and risk team members, to understand data requirements and priorities.
    
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and risk mitigation strategies based on trends.
    
• OSHA/State OSHA
  
  • Maintain OSHA safety logs - track completion of all site safety reports, injuries, and illnesses to governing authorities.
    
  • Collect annual data for jobsites
    

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, preferred but not required.
  
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in related fields
  
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify trends.
  
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  
• Strong communication and writing skills.
