About the Role
An Associate Manager - Finance Operations is responsible for direct oversight and management of all the customers financial processes related to transportation cost. They are responsible for the oversight of the AP processes along with being responsible for the AR processes related to the customer’s account. Performs financial analysis to identify key trends that can help improve the process. Leading customer meetings providing insights to their transportation spend.

This position will work Onsite at our Rogers, Arkansas Center of Excellence and interviews will be conducted at this location.

What the Candidate Will Do

  • Oversee the Accounts Payable processes, including auditing carrier invoices and ensuring accurate and timely payment processing.
  • Direct oversight of the Accounts Receivable processes, ensuring accurate billing of transportation-related expenses and timely, thorough, and precise billing to customers.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of accounts to identify financial trends and root cause issues impacting the AP and AR processes.
  • The Finance Account Manager will need to lead customer calls and provide the customer with a visual update that gives visibility into their business and accrual accuracy.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and implement best practices for AP and AR functions.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal stake holders, vendors, carriers, and customers to ensure smooth and accurate processing of carrier invoices and accurate and timely customer billing.
  • They conduct employee evaluations to enhance their performance, development, and work product.
  • Collaborate on development, maintenance and improvement of AP/AR systems and processes.
  • Manage overall customer financial health related to transportation spend.
  • Develop new policies, process improvements, and implements changes within their function.
  • Develop and report Key Performance Indicators on SLAs with a focus on providing higher quality service as well as transparency to the internal customers
  • Collaborate with internal and external parties (Carriers, Customers, Operations, Carrier Procurement, Sales, Carrier Pricing, Onboarding, IT, Accounts Receivable) to identify/eliminate obstacles, create efficiencies, increase automation, and enable issue resolution)
  • Interact with various staff, at all levels as required, to meet strategic objectives.
  • Develop leadership skills in others by coaching, mentoring, knowledge sharing and reinforcing best practices.
  • Conduct research, reporting analysis and special projects as requested.
Basic Qualifications
  • 4 year degree in related field
  • OR 2 years of relevant experience in Finance, Logistics, or Transportation
Preferred Qualifications
  • People Management experience
