Position Summary

TCG BDC, Inc. is an externally managed, non-diversified closed-end investment company. The Company elected to be treated as a Business Development Company ("BDC") under the Investment Company Act of 1940, as amended. TCG BDC's objective is to generate current income and capital appreciation primarily through debt investments in U.S. middle market companies.
TCG BDC is part of Carlyle Global Credit, a multi-product, markets-focused investment platform with approximately $56 billion of assets under management. More than 170 investment professionals manage 61 active funds that seek to provide investors an edge in pursuing opportunities to create value across various types of credit, public equities and alternative instruments.

Key Duties/Responsibilities

Associate will serve as a key member of a deal team in the underwriting, credit approval and portfolio management processes for transactions, including initial screening of deals, structuring, proposal issuance, detailed due diligence, formal credit approval, negotiation of documentation and closing. Associates are expected to, as part of a team and with guidance from senior deal team members, evaluate businesses and industries as well as identify the economic attractiveness of investment opportunities. faAssociates will develop their credit skills by conducting primary due diligence on potential borrowers, analyzing, proposing and negotiating potential debt structures, as well as monitoring of the portfolio companies. Associates will have primary responsibility for industry analysis and financial modeling conducting in conjunction with all proposed transactions. Additional responsibilities may include investment valuations and various fundraising and investor relationship projects.

Qualifications

We are seeking candidates with at least 2 years of credit investing, M&A or leveraged finance transaction experience with strong quantitative and analytical skills, proficiency with modeling, self-motivation, and good communication/presentation skills. In addition, candidates must have a strong academic record.
